Different Garden Types

Not all gardens are created equal or serve the same purposes. Since 1997 our team has designed gardens for all different purposes including:

Flower Garden

The most common type of garden is a flower garden. These types of gardens showcase the beautiful colors and dynamics plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs can have. These gardens can be expansive for you to walk through and enjoy, or smaller for you to sit and take it all in.

Native Flower Gardens

These gardens are great in the Maryland, DC, and Virginia region as we are able to showcase native plants to the area. Native plants are more likely to resist diseases and pests, help local animals thrive, and live longer lives. They usually need less water and thrive in the unique climate of the DMV. Some of the more popular plants are: Yellow Flowers

  • Black-Eyed Susans (Rudbeckia hirta)
  • Cardinal Flower (Lobelia cardinalis)
  • Christmas Fern (Polystichum acrostichoides)
  • Threadleaf Blue Star (Amsonia hubrichtii)
  • Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea)
  • Tickseed (Coreopsis Zagreb)

Water Gardens

Combine this with our amazing pond & water features service to design the most beautiful water garden. Make it not only stylish but functional as well. These gardens tend to draw wildlife to your property. Oftentimes you can find frogs, fish, birds, and other local animals enjoying your water garden.
